Prof. Dr. Alassane B. NDIAYE, a Civil Engineer and MBA is a Professor of Transport Systems & Logistics at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, founder and Director of Qalinca-Labs, a major Logistics & Transport Systems R&D laboratory in Brussels.

Educated in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Stanford University and at the MIT, he is a Visiting Scientist at the University of California at Berkeley and a Guest Professor in 10+ universities in Africa, South America and South East Asia.

Among his achievements is a strong track record of 250+ large industrial and R&D projects delivered on the 5 continents and a dozen of excellence and capacity building centers in transport & logistics in Indonesia, Tunisia, Ecuador, Senegal, Vietnam, South Africa, Brazil, Cambodia, etc..

Certified Performance Management Professional and co-owner of a patented methodology for integrated strategic decision making , he is co-founder of two R&D start up companies active worldwide in the field of transport, logistics and supply chain management.

Expert Adviser of many national, international and governmental institutions, he is a member of the two Horizon 2020 High Level Advisory Groups for Transport and for International Cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Ndiaye’s  skills are particularly oriented towards the innovative ways of integrating ideas from latest research with best practices for the identification, implementation and replication of value creative knowledge solutions; those enablers capable of driving transport/mobility systems and supply chains to a high level of excellence.

Dr. Renuka Herath

Dr. Herath is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya where she has been working since 2003.  She has obtained her first degree in Business Management specializing Marketing Management with a first class honours and also the gold medal for the highest GPA in the faculty of Commerce and Management Studies. The MBA has been concluded at the Postgraduate Institute of Management with a Merit pass. She has then completed her PhD at the Newcastle University, UK in Supply Chain Management. She is an alumni of Commonwealth scholarships too.

She is serving as an editorial member of a few international journals and at present acts as the chief-editor Sri Lanka Journal of Marketing (SLJM) and an editorial member of Newsletter, University of Kelaniya. She is also the Coordinator of Higher Diploma in Marketing offered by the Department of Marketing Management. She has served in the capacity of a reviewer, secretary and an editorial member for many local and international research conferences. Many research papers have been presented by her at local and international research conferences and published in local and international indexed and refereed journals too. She also works as a research consultant and her research interests lie especially on supply chain management, SMEs and fashion industries.

Dr.Thi Van Ha Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha graduated her bachelor in the University of Foreign Trade (FTU), then followed Master of Business Administration in English in National Economic University (NEU), and did her PhD in Darmstadt University of Technology (TUD, Germany). Her studies and lectures focus on Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operation Research, and Lean Management. She has worked in Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Transport and Economics, University of Transport and Communications since 2002. Since 2016 she has moved to Department of Economics and Management, Faculty of International Education and assigned to Faculty Office Manager of the Faculty.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha is the founder and Director of EDINS Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Vietnam. The EDINS Institute offers +30 training programs and consultancy services related to Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Lean Management and Operations Management.
Dr. Nguyen’s publications include numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, conference articles, and several book chapters. Her current projects include the implementation and analysis of logistics and supply chain management in Vietnam and Europe, lean management in Vietnamese enterprises and Operations Research in local and foreign companies, which are usually sponsored by Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Education and Training, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
Dr. Nguyen has mentored 25+ PhD and Master Theses in Vietnam and worldwide and is a guest Lecturer of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Operations Research for local and foreign universities.

Dr. Milena Janjevic

Dr. Milena Janjevic (F), a Polytechnical Engineer, holds a Ph.D in Transport and Logistics Engineering from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Megacity Logistics Lab, Center for Transportation & Logistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Senior Researcher and Lecturer at Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is an invited Lecturer at Ecole des Mines (Paris) and a visiting scholar at the the Center of Excellence for Sustainable Urban Freight Systems at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (New-York). Her field of research and expertise which has been proven in a large number of local, regional, European and international projects include supply chain optimisation, intermodal transport/logistics and urban freight logistics with a particular focus on the modeling of innovative concepts/strategies and the use of new technologies.
